Interview Templates have been further enhanced to allow you to sort by category for faster modifications. This feature will allow you to adjust a questionnaire for your personal needs. We would be happy to send example templates for CHF, Hypertension, Diabetes, Oral Contraception, Infertility, Urinary Tract Infections, and Low Back Pain. New questionnaires for shoulder pain, insomnia, oral contraceptives and infertility have been added. There are also two new screening tools, one for gambling addiction and one for panic disorder.

Content has focused upon the separation of new and returning patients.

Interview Templates have been added. This feature allows you to create a special Level of Detail for each questionnaire, as well as preview the available questions in a questionnaire. This feature is underneath Tools, Interview Templates. The web application has also been enhanced to allow a list of common conditions to be presented to the patient.

Content has focused upon the translation of the questionnaires into Spanish. Many common questionnaires are now available with the patient questionnaire in Spanish and the physician presentation in English. New questionnaires for foot pain, vision loss, and nausea/vomiting have also been added.

Content focus upon ENT and musculoskeletal has enhanced screenings in those areas.

Features to allow the patient to review and correct their answers and to enhance control over Family History have been added. Also, the Provider Index and Patient Index can now present the menu choices in simple alphabetical order.

To allow a patient to review their answers, please use the Tools > Options > General tab and check the option to allow patients to review answers. At the end of a questionnaire, patients will be given the opportunity to review their answers and make corrections.

Family History now has the ability to focus only upon the immediate family. Clinics that wish to collect specific history on distant family members should increase the level of detail for family history to level 7.

Features added are "Refill Prompts" and "Specialty Filters".

Refill prompts are a special Favorite that sets Instant Medical History to ask patients if they have any prescriptions to be refilled. This elicits the necessary refills in advance of the visit documentation.

Specialty Filters allow users to filter the Table of Contents. Using the Tools » Options » Complaints box, the Limit Complaints by Specialty box can be checked. Then Select Specialty and check the applicable boxes. Finally, the first time the Screenings menu is started, please check the Limit Complaints by Specialty box to apply the filters. This will remove inappropriate conditions from the table of contents.

Clinics that wish to screen patients can use “Health Risk Assessment” to have Instant Medical History screen the patient for a variety of health risks as part of a wellness visit. Interested clinics should use the “Report Preview Formatting” Option to turn on the output. This option is not turned on by default.

Also, there are improved review of systems questionnaires for geriatrics. Clinics that are scheduling the new Medicare Screening for patients may wish to incorporate the new geriatric questionnaires.
